The story follows siblings Diana and Georgie, who live freely on the grounds of a supposedly haunted mansion but are forbidden from leaving or making friends. When a new caretaker's daughter, Lissa, arrives, Diana must decide whether to break the rules to befriend her, risking the unleashing of evil forces.
